This week I had the opportunity to interview Michelle Thompkins, and interview I did. Michelle wasn’t there that long because she said she needed to go somewhere and then come back but nevertheless, it was nice being able to talk to her for a short while. One thing that struck me about her art was the amount of clarity and vibrant colors she used in her paintings. It seemed very obvious from her gallery that she loved employing the color “purple”. It seems to me that Michelle really wanted to convey a message of “happiness” in her paintings and it was refreshing to see that in her paintings, there was a clearly defined moral theme. Her true intentions of showing joy through vibrant colors really let me enjoy this week’s artist conversation.
